I have found scary incidents that happened in Aerolines Argentinas here :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerolineas_Argentinas

It\'s in the accidents and incidents portion but so far, the last accident that took place was in 1970. I think that you should trust the admin\'s suggestion though. I think there are other options available anyway.

Within Argentina, you usually don\'t have much of a choice, so it\'s common to use Aerolineas Argentinas. But if you\'re looking for a flight INTO Argentina, I would recommend looking for options other than Aerolineas. They are just not reliable lately. Even if their service, once on the flight, is reputed to be good.

I too agree that LAN Argentina is the best airline in Argentina. It is the best airline to use when travelling from buenos aires to mendoza for a weekend.

Here in the Philippines, if I am not mistaken LAN Argentina, Aerolineas Argentina and Continental Airlines are the possible options... I am not sure though if Continental Airlines would go directly to Argentina, I think the closest airport it would go to would be that of Brazil. I would like to learn more about which airline could probably bring us from the Philippines to Argentina... Thanks!

I used LAN when I went and it wasn\'t too bad, I have no real complaints. If I were to suggest anything for you, I would suggest LAN because of the service I had over what i am hearing about the others :)

Yes, I agree with Brian because although I think you get nicer treatment from Aerolineas Argentinas in terms of attending requests, LAN is more on time with their schedules. My friend from Spain got stuck in Mendoza last year.
My grandmother tell me that Aerolineas Argentinas was a great airline in the 70s and 80s, but I think something happened between having the airline being passed to to many hands. I am sorry, I do not want to go off the question, go with LAN, is you best choice.

Steve, aerolineas argentinas coversmore destinations in argentina and has more flights, but at this time their employees are going through a strike and most of their flights re cancelled or seriously delayed. Therefore I would recomend going through LAN, although I can not garantee your flight goes traveless, but chances are you will have a much more pleasent experience travelling through LAN.
Have a nice trip and enjoy the wine!
