Our projects seek people who want to explore the other side of Buenos Aires, for those who want to understand more about social exclusion in Latin America. What would it be like to get to know one of these neighborhoods from the inside? Our presence helps to minimize alienation. You can choose to come for only one day or be a volunteer for a longer time. If you want to be a long-term volunteer, we have many different options and schedules available. Volunteer oportunities are offered in exchange for low-cost contributions.

This is a note from a former volunteer who wanted his voice heard:

To be honest i would find it difficult to find enough words to describe how great an organization voluntario global is! I volunteered with them for just under a year and the hardest part of leaving Argentina for me was not that i was going to miss the incredible steaks and beautiful city that buenos aires is but saying goodbye to the amazing friends i made that do such great work in both La Villa Soldati and in La Boca.

I volunteered mostly in Soldati and it really is an amazing experience to get to know the kids and the local people who live and work in these neughbourhoods. It makes it even more worthwhile when the next time you return, locals on the street recognise you and the kids run to you to give you a big hug!

I think what makes the organization so special and such a great place to volunteer is that it was set up and run by a lady who volunteered like us for many years in the neighbourhood. She became friendly with the local people from the barrio, and now jointly with them they run everything together. This helps ensure that all best interests remain focused in these neighbourhoods!

I cant wait until i return to argentina to see everybody again!

Un beso de Jamie!

Voluntario Global, a non-profit community-based organization focusing on community development and educational support for children and adults, is seeking volunteers for each of their two sites: Soldati and La Boca in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The community center has a bakery, t-shirt printing workshop, sewing studio and kitchens that volunteers can work in.
