Well Argentina is the 5th largest wine producer in the world\'s. And its shocking that they drink very less than they exports, so its one of the major economics source. Wine growing region in Mendoza and San Juan provinces are the largest source of producer of wines for them. super-premium wines and pure Malbecs are one of the most expensives wines that are exported.

I learned that the wine-making region of Argentina is near the Andean Mountain range.. Is that true? I would love to see that place! I have seen it on TV and over the internet but I believe that it would be better to see it in person!

Oh yes! There are tons! Check out this link for places to go to in Buenos Aires:
http://argentinastravel.com/1637/wine-tasting-in-buenos-aires/

Also in Mendoza, which where you want to go if you want to see things done right, check out the folks at the Vines of Mendoza, they can help you plan a good tour. The thing with the wineries in Mendoza is that it\'s not like Napa where you can just drive up and go in whenever you want - you have to come at an appointed time. The Vines can help you figure out a schedule and help you arrange a driver. Check out this link:
http://argentinastravel.com/destinations/cities/mendoza/things-to-do/

I hope this helps!

Hi,

I am planning an Argentinian holiday, and would love to go to a vineyard to see wine being made, but more importantly I would like to do some wine tasting; to drink the wine in the location the grapes were grown, fermented and bottled would be fantastic. Ideally I would like to buy a few bottles too. Is there any such thing that anyone knows of?
