I am thinking of booking an apartment for 9 days through a company called International Nest. Has anyone had any experience with them? They require a large deposit (which I think is common for apartment rentals) so I'd like to hear if anyone has anything to say about them.
Thanks!

Hi NShultz,
I have not hear of International Nest but yes, a large deposit is normal. I have stayed in many apartments during my visits to BA with http://www.buenosairesstay.com and they ask for about 1 weeks rent for the deposit but I believe they've never had a problem returning the money. I wouldnt worry about the deposit unless you are planning for party hard and not clean up!

We just returned from BsAs earlier this week and had stayed in a rental apartment on Ave Santa Fe & Bulnes, next to Alta Palermo shopping mall. Yes, going through an agency, we had to pay a week's deposit + $100 more for them to come "after-hours" to let us in late at night when we arrived. However, when my sister-in-law went to the agency office to pay for the 2nd week, they also charged her that extra $100.
Having the apartment was convenient for three of us with 2 bedrooms + 2 baths--and another one outdoors on the service porch (which we never used). Coming from the California, the standards were different and took some getting used to. But, in the end, we realized that it was a nice place. The shower was weak, old and hot water was barely there. Howevever, in the kitchen sink, just below the water tank, it was scalding.
If you would like a referral, we can put you in touch directly with the owner. Spanish required.

I've never heart of International Nest. I live in Buenos Aires and my family that live in the states come twice a year to Buenos Aires. Tehy usually rent with http://www.buenosairesfeelhome.com.ar and they never had a problem, so I suggest you to check there, it's a small but very trusted agency. Good luck and enjoy BA!
