In Argentina there is a wide freedom of religion guaranteed by Article 14 of the Constitution, although the state recognizes a prominent character in the Catholic Church, which has a different legal status with respect to the other churches and confessions, according to the Constitution Argentina (Article 2), the National Government should support it and according to the Civil Code is legally comparable to a corporation under public law not state law.
