Argentina has around 11,000 kilometers of inland waterways navegables.160 The network is composed of the rivers of La Plata, Parana, Paraguay and Uruguay. The main river ports are Zarate and Campana.

Most of the products imported by Argentina arrives in the country by sea. The main ports are: Buenos Aires, La Plata, Ensenada, Bahia Blanca, the Up-River ports, Mar del Plata, Necochea , Comodoro Rivadavia, Puerto Deseado, Puerto Madryn and Ushuaia. The port of Buenos Aires is historically the first individual importance, but the area known as Up-River, which stretches along 67 km of the portion of the Parana River in Santa Fe, brings together 17 ports which account for 50% of total the country's exports.
Ezeiza International Airport, about 35 km from downtown Buenos Aires, is the largest in the country and has facilities for cargo handling and storage. The company Aerolineas Argentinas, which was privatized in 1990 and now again in the hands of the Argentine state, conducts domestic and international flights. There are also several domestic airlines. Major international airlines using Buenos Aires as a destination or stop in their paths
